Engineering Education Videos

Illuminating practices, pedagogy, and principles for K - 12 engineering educators

EiE's Getting Started Video Series is a set of four short videos that will introduce you to our in-school curriculum, Engineering is Elementary. If you’re new to EiE, this is the perfect place to start! The entire series will take you about 10 minutes to watch.

EiE Classroom Videos show expert teachers using EiE in real classrooms around the country. Familiarize yourself with the content and sequence of each of the four lessons in a unit. Each 45-minute lesson is presented in a 10–12 minute overview; videos are available for all 20 EiE curriculum units!

EiE Spotlight Videos are documentary-style videos that demonstrate and explain effective classroom practices for teaching elementary engineering; for example, "Asking Good Questions" and "Dealing With Data." Spotlights also give you the tools to address common classroom challenges.

EiE Engineering Moments capture candid moments in real elementary classrooms. Each narrated video illuminates an important feature of elementary engineering. Browse videos that focus on engineering habits of mind, NGSS science and engineering practices, and EiE's engineering design process.

EiE Video Snippets are very short (30– to 60–second) segments that capture key elements of elementary engineering. Presented without commentary, they are perfect for use in presentations related to engineering habits of mind, NGSS science and engineering practices, and EiE's engineering design process.

EiE Out-of–School Time Videos include a collection of segments that show elementary students designing and testing technologies as part of EiE’s Engineering Adventures curriculum. Two NASA-funded units on aerospace and aeronautical engineering challenges are featured.

EiE How-To Videos go beyond the lesson plans in your Teacher Guide; they let you see how to organize and prepare the materials used in many EiE lessons. Check out the handy tips and tricks that help you save time, assemble models effectively, and be ready for hands-on classroom engineering.
